Queensland is known as "The Sunshine State", and has gained that reputation for a very good reason - the weather is great one day and perfect the next!
Those who are lucky enough to live in the largest of the Australian states (1,727,000 sq km / 667,000 sq miles) recognise that they share a rare paradise on earth, and maybe that's the reason why over a 1000 people a week migrate to this part of Australia from other states.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and is a busy modern city with all the facilities that a cosmopolitan location has to offer. From here you can branch out in a southerly direction to the Gold Coast where you will find white beaches, plenty of activities for fun in the sun, great accommodation, food and of course the Meter Maids.
If you head north out of Brisbane you will reach the Sunshine Coast with destinations like Caloundra, Mooloolaba and Noosa. Here you can enjoy a relaxing holiday with plenty of first class accommodation, dining, and leisure activities.
As you head further north you will find many areas to enjoy like the Coral Coast, Capricorn Coast, Whitsundays, and great northern cities like Townsville and Cairns.
So enjoy your journey as you discover the wonders of Queensland.
